“Brides on their own”

Hey All,

As a quite new member, I have been enjoying looking at the work that’s being presented on the blog…..and loving it!! Well done, keep up the amazing work!!

OK, so first time blogging….(Little nervous..hahaha)..going to apologies straight up front as I am not the most savy blogger/ writer…… Not only that, I just seem to never get time to do either!

I was just reflecting over my past few weddings and one thing that stuck out to me is how much I love to photograph my brides just on their own. I am always amazed how much love/ thought & detail goes into everyone of them.(Gowns/ Dresses that is)

I always want to try and emphasize that…..not just a ‘straight to camera’ “smillie” shot….(I do that too) but something that’s just a little different.

Anyways, I do have some “FULL ” all the way through weddings to show you all (And I will get around to it V soon) but I thought I would do something a little different and show off some of my beautiful bride “On their own” Images.

Please Enjoy!!

Tim Pascoe 🙂

Like to say your wedding images are awesome. Great candid and natural photos using available light.
The photography work is highly credible and stylish. Cheers from Perry in Sydney

These are nice clean images. Well designed with a good use of color. Photographing the bride by herself is always a good move. I find that the dress and the flowing veil really adds to your creative elements. Plus, there are great symbols and references to several emotions built in.

Terry Talbot - November 5, 2010 - 9:01 am

Nice work Tim. I’ve been a Madison WI wedding photographer for over 30 years and my own style has evolved out of my fashion and documentary photography into artful imagery for wedding couples.
Your blog post is fine. You’ve kept the words simple and descriptive and the post is laced with beautiful solo bridal shots. Terry

Such beautiful brides and amazing photography! It is so great to see another very talented photographer here on Best of Wedding!!

Madeleine Jutras - November 5, 2010 - 5:14 pm

#18 just rocks … the reflection of the bride in the blue, blue water. Great lighting and angles.

Melissa - November 8, 2010 - 4:39 pm

gorgeous shots! I love that they all have a different feel/look than the previous one! Well done! I am excited to see more of your work!

Paula Lukas - November 9, 2010 - 2:22 pm

#4 is awesome … the lighting and colors phenomenal.

Isobelle Thornborough - November 9, 2010 - 2:41 pm

You can almost ‘feel’ the anticipation in the bride’s stance in the last photo. Kind of like Juliet waiting for Romeo.

Irene Jones - November 13, 2010 - 8:15 pm

Lovely, lovely brides and spectacular photography! Kudos!

Fred Stuart - November 13, 2010 - 8:22 pm

I continue to be amazed each time I check out this blog for the best wedding photographers in the world. Your work is incredible … another shining star!

Mary Fabian - November 16, 2010 - 5:05 pm

That first shot is awesome — especially the lighting.

Tim Pascoe - November 16, 2010 - 7:14 pm

Thank you all for your very lovely & encouraging comments!!
🙂

Deborah Edwards - November 19, 2010 - 1:03 pm

Spectacular photos — No. 7 of the bride surrounded by the blue sky and fluffy wide clouds is angelic. In the same way, No. 8 is a vision of true paradise where the bride is walking among the colorful flowers and greenery — the Garden of Eden. Very nice.

Katlyn Forrest - November 23, 2010 - 7:45 pm

This whole session is superb … way to many favorites to pick just one … the colors, the lighting, and, of course, the gorgeous brides.

Scott Gatt Imaginations - November 25, 2010 - 5:48 pm

No. 4 is true art … almost looks like the setting for a great movie … or a painting to hang on the wall.

Eric Velado - November 29, 2010 - 8:11 pm

Lovely shots Tim! Truly inspirational!!

Matthew Lee - December 14, 2010 - 9:35 am

#3 is fabulous — looks like the bride could be part of the landscape in the Wizard of Oz. Beautiful.

Portland Wedding Photography - December 21, 2010 - 4:30 am

Fabulous wedding photography, very artistic and incredible eye for composition and detail. The contrast in your images is fantastic.

Your wedding photography on your website is stunning. Is this just one bride? My favorites are by the pool, the one with the sunflare under the building and the one with the red wall and mirror and the image with the bride in the flowers with the row of trees.

Fantastic work!

Added you to my facebook!

Martin Tavares - December 24, 2010 - 12:22 pm

Stunning imagery — the lighting, the contrast, the beauty.

Heavy Metal Wedding in Slovenian Mountains

When Nina wrote to me that she and Denis will get married in Lepena, in the gorgeous valley in the Slovenian Mountains, I was so excited that I just couldn’t wait this day to come. And when it come it was even more incredible I thought it can be. A perfect day for a perfect wedding in a perfect location. From sunshine to heavy rain, from gorgeous cottages to beautiful but cold river Soca, from heavy metal (Denis is the front man in a heavy metal band) to incredible sensibility. Magnificent wedding!!! Thanks Nina, thanks Denis! Love you!!!

Yvonne Dunnington - October 27, 2010 - 8:00 pm

Excellent capture of the full wedding day. The images of the bride and groom on the bridge are captivating — with all the lush green landscape.

Andreas Schroeder - October 29, 2010 - 2:14 am

Just because somebody is singing in his free time in a heavy metal band, does not make the wedding a heavy metal wedding. The title is missleading. People will think it might be a heavy metal theme wedding with biker, drugs and leather jackets. But I guess the photographer wanted to get more attention.

Nancy Shaw - October 30, 2010 - 10:46 pm

No matter what anybody else says … you did an amazing job of documenting this wedding from beginning to end. My very, very favorite photo is the family sitting out on lawn chairs in #10 — so, so very real. Love your work.

Deborah Edwards - October 30, 2010 - 10:48 pm

Wow .. such amazing photography. I cannot even select a favorite picture in this whole series of photographs. You present a beautiful reflection of the whole day. Thanks so much! Love your work!

Matthew Lee - October 30, 2010 - 10:51 pm

Man … keep it up. Absolutely love logging into this blog and seeing your work! You rock!

Miranda Isber - October 30, 2010 - 10:54 pm

This wedding is incredible. Slovenia rocks and so do you.

Shauna Dallamsphum - October 30, 2010 - 11:12 pm

You title this series as Heavy Metal .. and that is fantastic … the cool thing (even without the title) this was a beautiful wedding documentary. Gorgeous!!!

Wilma Cornelisse - November 2, 2010 - 11:29 am

My fav shot is the one with the couple dancing on the lawn — the lighting is amazing with the reflection of a sun ‘beam’.

Madeleine Jutras - November 5, 2010 - 5:17 pm

You know what I love the best — all those candid shots — where you captured an array of emotions perfectly.

Melissa - November 8, 2010 - 4:42 pm

FANTASTIC!! I love how much fun they obviously had! It is obvious that the feel of the day is low key, fun and relational…you did a great job of capturing that!

Paula Lukas - November 9, 2010 - 2:24 pm

Such beautiful and candid shots. I especially like the black and white imagery.

Jacqui Jagt - November 9, 2010 - 2:35 pm

That last photo is so peaceful … somthing I would like to hang on my wall.

You must have felt like you were in heaven with this totally fascinating background in the Slovenian Mountains … and my, oh my, you captured the full beauty of everything (including the very gorgeous bride and the handsome groom) Beautiful work!

Mary Fabian - November 16, 2010 - 5:08 pm

The picture of the bride in the mirror is lovely. Nice work.

Deborah Edwards - November 19, 2010 - 1:06 pm

Fantastic photos — so clear and sharp.

Katlyn Forrest - November 23, 2010 - 7:49 pm

So captivating — the picture of the bride jumping from the stone over the water to the groom — not only did you catch their true expressions, that background is so gorgeous. Nice!

Scott Gatt Imaginations - November 25, 2010 - 5:51 pm

Really enjoyed the photo of the groom pulling and saving the bride from the car coming towards her.

Annabelle Morris - December 6, 2010 - 8:29 am

Fantastic shots — so sharp and clear — and the colors are just amazing.

Hey this is kind of of an off topic with the amazing photographs that you posted, but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Rock the Dress Event 2010- Graddy Photography

In September we hosted our first annual Rock the Dress event and it was a huge success!  12 past brides attended and the event included make-up by Smart and Chic Bride, videography by Virtuoso Video, and photography by Graddy Photography.  The Minneapolis MN Star Tribune also made a trip out and covered the event for the newspaper.  We are very excited to do this event again next year!

Scott Sjostrom - October 23, 2010 - 10:58 pm

Oh my goodness … such absolute beauty. #17 is a true work of art.

Teresa Beklamy - November 5, 2010 - 5:23 pm

I really admire the stunning art you create … quite mesmirizing indeed. And I adore the ‘fun’ shot/shadow of the groom as a double reflection in the mirror with the hilarious shadow in the middle — it would actually make a nifty cartoon character. All kidding aside, this is just phenomenal.

Paula Lukas - November 9, 2010 - 2:27 pm

Love those images of the bride in the red lighting. Remarkable!
