Lovely Farm Wedding in BC

Liz and Brock are the definition of a fun couple!  Their wedding truly reflected their values.  They made their rings themselves at a smelter.  They also chose their venue because it was committed to giving back to the community, as well as to being environmentally friendly.  It also helped that it was such a lovely spot for photographs!

Liz’s mom is a judge, and she officiated the ceremony.  Close friends and family were all there, and many tears were shed.  Brock even read the poem “Love” by Erich Fried as part of his vows.  It was truly magical.  They even had ice cream cake instead of traditional wedding cake!

Country wedding near Cirencester in the Cotswolds this Summer

Wedding set in the English countryside.  The couple were married in a small  church in Gloucestershire set in the Cotswolds and then held their reception in a marquee set in a large field near the house.  The band played on until late and the new Leica M240 camera was a big hit with curious guests. Over 1,200 photographs were taken on the day and edited down to the final 500+ for presentation on the website and as prints.

Wasing Park Wedding Photography

There’s something special about getting married at Berkshire’s Wasing Park in the UK. It’s a wonderfully tranquil venue in the heart of the English countryside, perfect for a wedding celebration. Set in 18th Century parklands, the estate has it’s very own parish church, or couples can choose a ceremony in the Victorian Summerhouse for an outdoor wedding, or the Garden Room. There’s a beautiful Honeymoon Suite for the Bride to get ready in with her bridesmaids, and ample accommodation for family and friends.

You can see how much fun Laura and Rory and all their guests were having at this gorgeous Summer wedding earlier this year. The celebrations started with a BBQ the day before the wedding and continued up to the dancing in the Castle Barn towards the end of the evening. Check out even more Wasing Park wedding photography where you can view some slideshows and Photofilms from the venue, using still images and audio recorded from the speeches and ceremony.

Mykonos Barefoot Elopement

What is it that makes elopements so irresistibly fascinating? Maybe it is the fact that a couple is so deeply in love that they decide to avoid the stress and endless preparations of a traditional wedding and opt for an unconventional one that allows them to concentrate on each other and nobody else. That’s reason enough for me to applaud such choices.

Bilal & Cydney chose to elope. And their barefoot elopement in stunningly beautiful Mykonos, the island of my heart, was the ideal way to pledge their love to each other and start their life together. Needless to say, such romantic stories are the most inspirational theme a wedding photographer can hope for! That’s why I was really looking forward to this photoshoot –my second one in the “island of the winds” this year.

Bilal & η Cydney, one of the loveliest couples I have ever met, came all the way from New York to Mykonos to get married in a very moving and intimate ceremony on a tranquil solitary beach, under the bright Greek sun, against the spectacular backdrop of the azure Aegean Sea. The single table, set for two, that was waiting for them by the sea had been elegantly and imaginatively decorated by Vana Efkleidou from White Ribbon. The original element of the symbolical footbath and later the leisurely photoshoot before the trademark Mykonos windmills and in the tiny quarter of Little Venice completed ideally one of the most relaxed and charming weddings I have ever witnessed. Actually, the key words here are “leisurely” and “relaxed”, for in elopements the photographer focuses exclusively on the happy couple and there is plenty of time for planning the best possible pictures, and also for lots of fun and pleasant interaction with the newlyweds.

Bilal & Cydney, I am sure that your barefoot elopement was only the beginning of the wonderful adventure of your life together. May your life be always full of such wonderful sunny days!

Bucklands Beach and The Rydge Hotel, Auckland

In front of the magnificent Bucklands Beach in Auckland, Zara and Rom have promised to love and cherish each other forever. It was on Valentines Eve 2015.

They first got married in France where Rom grew up but this second wedding was equally magical. Shiny sunny with a beautiful blue seas background were here to illuminate the bride and groom, their bridesmaids and groomsmen and their smiling guests.

The reception was held at The Rydge Hotel, which has a picturesque view on Auckland city. The bride and groom had planned lots of fun activities for their guests: a photo booth, a happy hour, a delicious dinner and an after party. It was one of the happiest weddings I attended. I wish a lot of love and fun to this amazing couple, Zara and Rom. Click here to see the mini clip video.
