I photographed this wedding last weekend in Mozambique with my wife. The rain delayed the ceremony with about 30 minutes but in the end we got a super sun set.
Some pictures made during my service in February 2010
Emotions high altitude pictures taken in unusual locations around 1800 meters altitude. The winter day but with a beautiful blue sky. This wedding has been made in the mountains near Lake Como in Italy, a location with strong contrast between mountains and lake. For shooting outdoors, we reached the summit of the mountain with a helicopter …. needless to say the emotion and joy of the newlyweds when they saw the beautiful scenery with their eyes. The light at this altitude is fantastic, and natural and emotional.
The bride and groom on the snow to take pictures unique and unusual.
I do not happen every day to be in a location like this, maybe it would impossiile to reach!
romantic image and emotion in this unusual landscape of snow
a particular detail of the bride’s shoes in the snow
The wedding ends with a nice show of fireworks!

This looks cool! 🙂
Gorgeous shots — you really captured the romance and a sense of playfullness. I just love the snow shots.
These are amazing! What a unique shoot.
Amazing and captivating photos! I ‘almost’ felt like I was there. You must have had a lot of fun shooting these images. I know I would have loved it … but I’m just getting started as a wedding photographer … and have not as yet had this opportunity … can hardly wait!
Magnificent and stunning photos.
Fantastic … what gorgeous imagery … makes me want to get married in the snow!
Superb!!! This whole wedding was outstanding … but I could not believe the gorgeous fireworks as a tribute at the end. I’m coming back to the particular blog again and again for daily inspiration. Thanks for making my day, week, month …. could be a year soon!
Dynamic and amazing photos. I think I’m starting to like snow again!
Sensational work!

Sally & Matt 9.19.09
When we first met Sally and Matt, we never imagined that their wedding was going to be this visually exquisite. As a Boston Wedding Photographer, we are lucky to have clients like them.
Sally was so low-key about the whole process and when I asked her how she did it, she responded, “Oh, I know, everything just fell into place. And it seemed like for every detail, vendor, or staff we got more than we expected. “ Like magic. Yeah, that’s pretty much how we feel about them- they are the magical Boston couple. And to top it off, Matt sang “Shook me all night long” by ACDC. Hilarious!

This is what Sally and Matt said about their photos: “First of all, the pictures are absolutely AMAZING! Matt and I are blown away by the lighting, angles and moments you guys captured! It is going to be a hard task to sort through our favorites… We spent over 3 hours looking at the photos today and I watched the ACDC slideshow at least 10 times! …We enjoyed working with you guys so much and the moments you have have helped us capture will be cherished.”

Love the picture of the dinner menu; an amazing picture of an ordinary wedding event.
They may be magical couple- but you are magical photographer as well. I very much love the light in the bridal suite photographs, and I also very much enjoy the shot of the bouquet. thank you for sharing. I am finding this website to be educational and addictive, so many talented photographers all in one spot!
Lillie: isn’t it amazing how ordinary things really are not ordinary? 🙂
Mariquita: thank you!
Love the aerial stairwell shot and the black and white Gothic Church. It looks a lot like the St Joseph Cathedral in Columbus, Oh, where we had our ceremony.
@ Mariquita: Some of the credit, especially for the bridal suite shots go to our stellar associate photographer, Chris Gagne. He does an awesome job and very much embodies our style and philosophy. We photograph every wedding with two photographers and find this very much frees us up to really stretch ourselves and push the envelope a bit–basically we can take many more chances–high reward with a much lower risk.
@ Lauren: Church in Charlestown, Mass was amazing to say the least. It is easy when you have such a spectacular place in which to make photographs. About the stairwell shots – we went above to give the sense of depth but more importantly was the use of black and white really helped these scenes since that carpet it red and competed too much with our subjects. Color is a godsend and a curse all at once. A true PJ master might be Alex Webb. Google him because I think you will appreciate his work.
Great work and what an amazing venue.
Really beautiful work!
Great article, i
hope can know much information About it!
Beautiful images, lighting, and angles!
You were able to capture not just pictures, but also the moment and the emotions around it. I’m sure they were thrilled with all the shots, and they definitely have an album that isn’t like anyone else’s. Kudos!
Spectacular … the church was an amazing setting. Love Your Work!
Gorgeous photos and use of natural lighting.
Stunning … you managed to capture all the emotions of the day. What a gorgeous bride and what a beautiful church!
Love the shot of the bride dancing — so natural — you captured her happiness and fun personality.
Love the black and white ones – they always look priceless. Great gallery – natural and classy. I am sure the couple loved them.
Kim and Larry started our year off with a surprise and a bang. Larry called about 3 weeks before their wedding in a semi-panic, their photographer, a friend, was injured and wouldn’t be able to photograph the wedding and he needed to find a photographer, FAST. It turns out I was available, it is March in Philly afterall, so we all kicked into gear and everything went off without a hitch. The ceremony was held in the Historic Landmark Old St. Joseph’s Church in the Old City section of Philadelphia where Ben Franklin and all the cool Constitutional stuff is located. The wedding party walked from the church through more old city cobble stone streets including the amazing Second National Bank building that looks like we made a stopover in Greece. The reception was held in the amazing Cescaphe Atrium in the Curtis Center, once the home to Curtis Publishing which published The Saturday Evening Post.
“YOU DID IT! Unreal Scott, so so good, I knew I had found the best and these photo’s are proof. You captured the energy and emotion of the day artfully, so perfect. Bravo Scott, Bravo!” – Larry
Mmmm. Delicious photography. I most especially like the photo of the bride and the groom on the stairs– it is so elegant.
Marquita, Thanks! My work’s been called lots of things but never delicious, I like that!
Love the variety of image and play with colors, textures, and focus.
I find the dipping a little bit old and boring but the rest is amazing!!!
Amazing and beautiful images. I just love the way you captured so many emotions through candid photos.
Majestic and stunning! Love all of your photos!
Wow .. just love all the photos — the romance, the fun, the emotions.
Ditto to Luanne’s comment — you managed to capture so much — every photo tells a story in one great big album. I’m guessing the bride and groom are absolutely delighted with these images. Kudos to you!
We photographed Stephan & Jo-Marie over the weekend. It was a very hot day in South Africa.
We managed to get some cool images for Stephan & Jo-Marie. They had these little LED’s on the tables for decorations, I decided it would make a cool photo so I raided the tables to get some of them. The heat of the day was broken by a typical summer thunderstorm, I could not resist using the rain. Jo-Marie said she wished it would rain as she loves the ran images I create, well she got her wish. Let me know what you guys think of the images.
Regards.
Jaco Fourie
