A wedding on the other side

This French couple has decided to tie the knot on the other side of the planet: they flew from South of France to Auckland, New Zealand. They had just contacted me, the photographer, and the celebrant to make their vows official. On the way, they have picked up the landlord of the lovely place they were staying at in Piha (West Auckland) and the celebrant assistant as their witnesses.

It truly was a delightful, unique and original wedding and for sure very intimate: without any guests!

Sherborne Abbey in Dorset, UK

England has some amazing wedding venues with a lot of tradition, and Sherborne Abbey in Dorset is just one of those venues. It’s in the county of Dorset in the South of England, and the Abbey has been a place of worship since AD 705. Such an amazing building to photograph a wedding in, and it can be a bot overwhelming. Whenever I find myself photographing in these kinds of places, it’s good to remember that it’s all about the people and the relationships. Using the impressive building and surroundings as a scene setter, it’s important not to get drawn away from the things that matter – the people!

Although I’m based in Hertfordshire and London, I do get commissioned to photograph weddings all over the UK and some destination weddings too. I’ve photographed a couple of fine venues in the South West, including Maunsel House and the Symondsbury Estate, but this was my first time at Sherborne Abbey. Before I photographed there, I met Laura and her sister at Holbrook House Hotel for some preparation photos. They were getting ready on their own, and it made for some lovely intimate pictures of the two sisters.

The Abbey did not disappoint as far as providing such a splendid background for this wonderful wedding.

Getting Married in Tuscany – A Destination Wedding in Italy

This was a wonderful destination wedding in Cortona – Tuscany. Alyssa and Cody chose the Borgo Bastia Creti for the venue and the getting ready and then the town hall of Cortona, not so far away, for getting married.

The Borgo di Bastia Creti is an exclusive location between the green hills of the Umbria countryside and I think is one of the most beautiful location for a wedding in Umbria.

DREAMING ELOPEMENT IN TUSCANY, PIENZA

Danielle and Brad came from Australia. They loved travelling and good food and decided to elope in Tuscany, exactly in Pienza in the stunning Tuscany hills. The day was great and full of colours; there were a light blue sky, a golden sunset and a blue twilight. This magic couple lets my emotions flow, and I dreamt about the ideal love. It is curious how people leave a sign not just in your images but also and especially in your heart and mind!Love my job!Enjoy this story!
