We had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful destination wedding right in the heart of the Umbrian countryside.
Castello di Rosciano was the location chosen by Asli and Stefano for a simple, warm and intimate ceremony, with friends coming from all over the world.
From the bride:
We thought of Umbria because its midway between Milan (where we live) and Rome (where we have emotional connections). We know this region very well because Stefano’s father was born in these hills and we have a small family house where we often go for the weekends. Umbria is the perfect combination of relaxation, good food, friendliness and history.
We have visited a few locations but as soon as we arrived to Castello di Rosciano, we knew that it was the place we were looking for. Stefano said: “A princess like you deserves a castle”. From the courtyard of the castle there’s a spectacular view overlooking the hills of Bettona, Assisi and Perugia, and castle itself offers a setting which gives a magic touch to the atmosphere.
The ceremony was held on the lawn with the stupendous view overlooking the Umbrian hills.
Thanks to our family and friends it was an unforgettable, unique and colorful Turkish-Italian wedding. Special thanks to Andrea & Federica for capturing all these great moments with his camera.
Getting married in Sicily has the bonus of a warm welcome that is grown and broadcast throughout the wedding.
Marriages in Sicily also express only see the photos, all the power, energy, and charisma that gives this country to its inhabitants.
Anna and Robert were married in their town, Alcamo, a town in the province of Trapani in Sicily. After the “yes” in the church, we went to take pictures of the magnificent harbor of Castellammare del Golfo, we toured the bay with their boat to capture the beautiful colors of the Sicilian waters. Friends (many) and family who welcomed them at Baglio della Luna with great joy! A reception was cheerful and funny, I did not stop for a moment; but it was worth it … to capture the best moments and spontaneous their best day!
I particularly love the weddings in which the bride and the groom belong to different cultures, in this case, Italy and South Korea, East and West.
While the bride chose a classic wedding dress, her mother and aunts have chosen to wear traditional Korean clothes.
The Catholic religious ceremony was held in Abruzzo in the picturesque church of Santa Maria Maggiore in the historic center of Lanciano, the birthplace of the groom.
The reception was held in the fairytale setting of the Castello di Septe, where Koreans guests have surprised everyone for their sympathy and especially the ability to dance the famous Gangnam Style Korean rapper Psy.

I photographed Antonello & Giovanna for an Engagement session before their wedding in Abruzzo, Central Italy. Abruzzo is one of the most uncontaminated & wildest area of Italy, not far from Rome. The shoot took place in various places near Sulmona, a characteristic town in L’Aquila province famous worldwide as “The City of Confetti”. Lots of nature, a river and breathtaking views helped to make a romantic & relaxed atmosphere with this amazing couple. I’m truly blessed to do what I love with beautiful people that give me the opportunity to create memorable experiences!
