Engagement photoshoot in Santorini

Santorini, Greece, is truly the stuff dreams and fairytales are made of: an incredibly beautiful volcanic island surrounded by the crystal clear blue waters of the Aegean, bathed in the bright Greek sunlight and enveloped in the magic of ancient myths and legends. No wonder it is one of the most popular wedding destinations worldwide! This is the place Jin and Nancy chose for their engagement photoshoot. The lovely young Asian couple, who traveled all the way from Los Angeles, had planned everything down to the smallest detail… Except for one little detail that Nancy was not aware of: Jin intended to take her to her favorite restaurant… and propose to her over dinner! He informed me of his intentions through a separate e-mail, and I was delighted that I would witness such a unique moment. I got to the restaurant a few minutes before them and prepared to capture the scene with my camera. My heart was pounding in excitement. A sweet couple in love and a surprise marriage proposal in one of the most romantic places in the world is the best theme a wedding photographer could wish for! Everything went according to plan. And naturally, she said yes…

The photoshoot of the following day went perfectly smoothly too. Nancy and Jin, against a backdrop of blue skies and seas and the dazzling white of the traditional Cycladic architecture, looked awesome together. And thanks to them, their photos could be nothing less than awesome!

Dear Nancy & Jin, thank you so much for honoring me with your trust and for allowing me to tell your beautiful love story through the lens of my camera.

A Wedding Photoshoot in Santorini – Greece

A great wedding photoshoot of Ken and Chiaki that came from Japan to the island of Santorini in Greece to have their photoshoot there. Everything was just magnificent! The couple, the scenery, the light, the sea and finally the sunset!

Wedding in Ios Greece

Every single wedding that I have attended as professional wedding photographer reminds me why I should be immensely thankful for my job; for nothing compares to the emotional fulfilment you experience when you witness the joy and happiness of people gathered to celebrate the big day of a couple in love, especially when you know that your pictures will contribute to keeping these unique moments alive forever.

Kirby and Tey decided to tie the knot in Ios. Ios is one of the most popular Cycladic islands, famous both for its golden beaches and for its intense nightlife that has earned it the title of the best party island in Greece, if not in the whole Mediterranean. For Kirby and Tey’s guests partying started right from the very first day, during an awesome catamaran sailing trip, with lots of drinks, dance music and swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean. The happy couple chose an original way to make promises of love and devotion to each other: they exchanged symbolical necklaces. It was one of the most beautiful and tender scenes I have ever seen.

The wedding was held in the Odysseas Elytis amphitheater, an ancient type open theater with great acoustics that the couple happens to have a very strong connection with. The ceremony harmoniously combined modern and traditional elements, the most striking of which were the exquisite lace wedding dress of the lovey bride and the traditional Ghana clothes of the groom’s parents. The wedding celebrations culminated in the VIP party, where the lucky guests –mostly young people, friends of the newlyweds from all over the world– had a fabulous time.

Dear Kirby & Tey, thank you so much for your trust and friendship. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you a wonderful life together.

Elopement in Oia Santorini

I have always been utterly fascinated by elopements; it cannot be denied that there is something irresistibly romantic and touching about the concept of two people who are so deeply in love that they bravely decide to abandon old traditions and pledge their faith and devotion to each other without a noisy audience of well-meaning friends and relatives. There are no guests, no wild parties, no laboriously organized group events – and certainly no stress! The couple can relish the magic of these unique moments with no distractions. The only other person present is their wedding photographer, whose task is to capture these precious moments forever. That’s why his role takes on special importance: he is the witness who will narrate their story through his pictures…

Christie and Ryan, from the USA, chose the breathtakingly beautiful Greek island of Santorini for their private wedding ceremony. I sensed from the very first moment the incredibly strong bond between them; they were just perfect together! So I, the lucky photographer, had all the necessary ingredients for an amazing photoshoot recipe: a beautiful, wonderfully matched couple, powerful vibes of love in the air, glorious sunny weather, and a stunning Cycladic landscape.

The ceremony took place at a terrace of Sophia Suites overlooking the sparkling waters of the Aegean, with a spectacular unobstructed view of the caldera. The bride was simply beautiful in her elegant wedding dress, and her Jimmy Choo bridal shoes, and the bridegroom was very handsome in his classical blue suit. They exchanged their marital vows and then danced their first dance as husband and wife to the sweet music played by a harpist. Every single detail, including the exquisite decoration, the rich traditional menu, the two bears symbolizing the couple on the wedding cake, and the tiny bottle with the label “We Tied the Knot,” had been perfectly organized and coordinated by the talented team of Stella and Moscha.

Dear Christie and Ryan, it was a great honor and an even greater pleasure to be there and capture the unique moments of your wedding day. I honestly have no words to thank you enough for your trust. May the sun of love always shine upon you!
